Color Vanishing

I am running an Octave program ( I had earlier written
this for MATLAB) in Octave 2.9.9 using GNU Plot 4.0
and Fedora 5. When I run the program, it gives me the
plots in color. But when I save it as a .eps file, the
color goes away and I only get black.

I am using the .eps file in a LaTeX document. 

Help will be appreciated.
