if you feel inspired to write a little on the wiki, use this password:

pages. I may port (the Matlab vs. Octave related) part of the FAQ to the
wiki one of these days myself.

PS: I'm sure ULB students will spend less time doing GUIs and more time
doing numerical stuff in Octave than they would Matlab.
