The rand tests are statistical in nature, there is a rare case (though
perhaps not rare enough) where this fails. About 1 in 10 times I see a
single rand failure. The tests statistic should probably be made larger
for the test on the distribution shape so that the chance of a failure
is further reduced.

I'd need to see the fntests.log file to diagnose this one.

Joe, had an issue here as well. I suspect that recent changes that John
made in the CVS will address this one.

I also made some changes in the CVS, but as the sparse code is mine I'd
still like to see the fntests.log file to see if this is the test for
the string mapper functions that are failing, and are fixed in the CVS.

In summary I suspect it is only the interpft.m tests that are a problem
as I don't think I've seen these failures on the list yet. The other
failures have had work recently in the CVS, though we'd need to see the
fntests.log file to confirm which tests are failing and diagnose the reason.

Regards
David
