Hi,
I can load test1.txt. But I cannot load test2.txt. I did not use script. I just typed the following command and none of them load the data in.
load('test2.txt')
load test2.txt
load "test2.txt"
All commands do not load the data. If I type whos -v, I did not see the data.
Are there anyone using gcc 4.1.0 compliling the octave?
Thanks
Frank

I don't have any problem with either.
Except for a small thing. The first file loads a matrix
called x, the second loads a matrix called test2, which
contains the same values.
I usually load a text data file, thus...

or..

or, if the variable already exists...
>> load -force "
test1.txt";
all produce the x variable matrix
also ...

octave loads a matrix and calls it test2
What is the script you use to load the files?
