| Since sqp and qp didn't come with the default installation of octave, I
| downloaded the .m files from sourceforge but can't seem to make it work. Any

It looks like qp depends on __qp__. Did you install that function
too? And all the other dependencies (no, I don't know right off what
they might be).
Precisely where did you get sqp and qp?
