Control rlocus

I'm trying to find out how to make the rlocus() plot look more like
the matlab plot.  So far, my rlocus() plots show the starting poles
and zeros, but do not show the line that connects the points into the
locus as the gain is varied.  Does anyone know how to get solid line
root locus plots?
