Problem compiling/installing octave

Hello,

I am trying to install octave on a sun Solaris 2.6 system.

I have downloaded xoctave-2.1.57.tar, and installed and compiled gcc-3.3 and make-3.80.

I did the configure in the octave directory and I am now trying to compile it. I get the following error:

gendoc.cc is unchanged
./gendoc > DOCSTRINGS-t
ld.so.1: ./gendoc: fatal: libstdc++.so.2.10.0: open failed: No such file or directory

What could be the problem ?
