Using the octave.sf.net version w/ atlas on my father's computer (k6-2)
some operations (like the inversion of a not so big matrix) causes the
program to crash. On a friend of mine's athlon the same operation causes
the program to stop responding. The same operation using the regular
version works fine. The computer with the cyrix proc was having memory
problems (I've been told that it works fine now).

I tried the atlas version on a lot of intel x86 with no problems.

The weird thing is that not all amd have the problem but I think the
problem is related to the amount of memory of the computer. My dad's
notbook has 64Mb and the other computers with problems had no more than
128Mb.

Right now I don't have much time to figure out what is going on. What
I'm gonna do is grab the octave.sf.net atlas version and create a second
package.
