Community of Octave:
Days back I requested help since I could not build Octave-2.1.36 in
alphaev67-dec-osf5.1 using gcc-3.0.4. Suggested me to use gcc-3.0.
I have built gcc-3.0 with the following successful result:
gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/users/eseguin/lib/gcc-lib/alphaev67-dec-osf5.1/3.0/specs
Configured with: ../gcc-3.0/configure --prefix=/usr/users/eseguin
Thread model: single
gcc version 3.0
However upon compiling Octave-2.1.36 the process is stopped with the
following mistake message:
oct-fstrm.cc: In constructor `octave_fstream::octave_fstream(const
std::string&, std::_Ios_Openmode, oct_mach_info::float_format)':
oct-fstrm.cc:54: no matching function for call to `std::basic_fstream<char,
std::char_traits<char> >::open(const char*, std::_Ios_Openmode&, int)'
/usr/users/eseguin/include/g++-v3/bits/std_fstream.h:402: candidates are: void
std::basic_fstream<_CharT, _Traits>::open(const char*, std::_Ios_Openmode =
(std::ios_base::in | std::ios_base::out)) [with _CharT = char, _Traits =
std::char_traits<char>]
make[2]: *** [oct-fstrm.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/users/eseguin/octave-2.1.36/src'
make[1]: *** [src] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/users/eseguin/octave-2.1.36'
make: *** [all] Error 2
After checking several subroutines do not find the solution.
First question:
Someone has built ++Octave-2.1.36 in alphaev67-dec-
osf5.1?
Second Question:
There can someone to help me to build ++Octave?
To anyone that could help me I will be infinitely grateful.
