wrong gnuplot subprocess? |

Dear Octave Help,
I think octave is somehow invoking the "wrong"
gnuplot subprocess. For example, if I start a
gnuplot session, it tells me
"Version 3.8i patchlevel 0" etc.
But in octave 2.0.16 I get
octave:7> gnuplot_has_multiplot
gnuplot_has_multiplot = 0
octave:8> gnuplot_has_frames
gnuplot_has_frames = 0
I believe (from octave.info) that these octave
variables should be nonzero if the gnuplot
version is no less than 3.6.
Any ideas please?
Thanks,
Aime'
