unable to invoke gnuplot

Hi ,
 
 I am totally new to octave. I have installed octave on my computer and
 also have gnuplot, but I am not able to invoke it from the octave
 command prompt, when I issue the command prompt. Could somebody let me
 know what could be the problem. 
 
 Following is the log that I get
 
 can't load gnuplot
 Warning: broken pipe
 
I am working on the Windows 2000 (Ver 5).
I have octave ver 2.1.31 and gnuplot ver 3.7 installed
I have the following directory structure

GNU
        Octave
                bin
                etc
                GNUPLOT
                        demo
                        psdoc
                home
                        octave
                src
                tmp


I have attached the makefile too

The following is the eroor log that I get when I try to invoke plot from
octave
can't load gnuplot
Warning: broken pipe

Could somebody help me out ..
