Hello Thomas,

1.)
i.e.

plot(x,y,'b;test;');

plots a blue line with key: "test"

2.) Have you looked at the sparse package by Andy Adler. It uses the
SuperLU lib. You can download it from [1] or using anonymous cvs from
[2]. I just tried it for a real problem and it works very well (spline
approximation).
