Problem with the polynomial approximation

Hi !

I am currently using Octave 2.0.13 on a Linux Slackware 3.4 box.

I think I found a bug in the polynomial approximation polyfit. I send as
an attachment my x file (globind.gz) and my y file (displ.gz). When I
call the polyfit function with an order higher than 5 or 6, I obtain
wrong results. The approximation is wrong.
