DLF - function call

Here is another question on DLF (dynamically linked function).

Can I call other DLFs from a DLF code?  (separate files)
If possible, how do I declare the external DLFs, which are unknown 
to the current DLF code when building .oct?  Or, do I have to link 
them explicitly as C++ functions (removed DEFUN_DLD macros) when 
building .oct?
