[Solution] Linking problem with octave-1.1.1 and gcc-2.7.0

My problem was is reprinted below.  The solution was to avoid using
-O2 for CXXFLAGS.  (Thanks to Eric Lin).

make CFLAGS="-m486 -O2" CXXFLAGS="-m486 -O"
