Subject: Octave

Well, I managed to grab octave, but am having a bit of difficulty
even running the configure script on our Sparcstation II. I am
advised that I don't have an appropriate f77 compiler, and that
I should check INSTALL for assistance. The problem is that we
have the standard Sun f77 compiler installed, and I run several
hundred lines through it every day. I've tried it on a couple of
other SS2 machines and had the same problem, running either 4.1.1
or 4.1.2. Any suggestion?
