Hi,

I still have no idea, which Linux distribution you use, only which compiler. If it is debian-based then there are packages for gift available, so you can at least test whether it works with an older version.

The more information you supply the higher is the proability that someone will be able to help you.

The problem happens clearly before the make step as your compiler is not even regognized.

I was told that the GCC version I'm using is latest and maybe that's the issue. I'm trying to downgrade to GCC-4.2.4 from GCC-4.3 but not able to successfully do it. How to go about it?
