When using relevance feedback you should really use all feature groups and you will see that the results improve a lot, especially when using negative feedback. Positive feedback alone often only does a reordering of the first few images.

The color histogram is not very good for feedback. The color blocks by contrast are not extremely good for single-image queries but are getting much better when several images are fed back.

Hello all,

How does GIFT process multiple-example-queries? Does it combine the features to
form a single composite query?

From some preliminary experiments, using single-example queries always gave
better results than using 2 and 3-example queries in terms of Interpolated
Recall-Precsion and using only the Global Colour Histogram feature.
