Dear Henning, Alex,
I will be gone in the next few weeks, so I cannot solve your problem. As you 
know I have gained some understanding of the GNU configure system, however, 
my knowledge does not suffice to solve your problems by mail. If you, 
Henning, would provide me with some ssh access to your mac, I would be glad 
to have a go at the problem. As I said, this would be possible only after 
holidays.
