This error is coming from within the Perl XML Parser module, not from within
the GIFT. It is probably the result of its being fed some ill-formed XML. For
completemess, could you please let us know what version of Parser.pm this is
(you'll find it near the top of the file).

Can anyone else using this version of GIFT report successful collection adding?
