[help-GIFT] GIFT Compilation stuff

Hi,

as you may have already figured out from the subject line of this
message, I obviously didn't have much luck compiling the package. The
compiler stumbles somewhere over an internal error... Is the 2.8.1
version of g++ too old? Anyway, here's what happened in my case:

bash-2.03$ uname -a
SunOS cuisun19 5.8 Generic_108528-14 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Blade-100
