Well, I fixed the font issue as mentioned in my previous post but now
am at a new issue which seems to be not resolved yet.

"bash: cannot set terminal process group (-1): Inappropriate ioctl for device
bash: no job control in this shell"

is what I get when I launch shell.  It works but with the annoying
echo of the current directory.
