[h-e-w] blank screen

Upon returning to NTEmacs after some time operating in other applications,
I am often finding that the Emacs window is "blank;" i.e., you can't see
any of the text w/in the borders of the window. The only recourse in this
event seems to be to kill the app. via the Task Manager (on NT4SP6) -
although the Task Mgr., FWIW, does show Emacs as "running."

Any suggestions?...
