Okay, this worked.

I have to fix the failure for make check in examples now, otherwise it's
good to go. I'll probably push this tomorrow if I have push access now
and release it. I contribute/maintain the package recipe for this for
Gentoo and Guix, so there is a selfinterest that I do not damage it.
