CVS is for people who want to do development (which, btw means that by 
definition that they are insane :-), so they should have enough of a clue to 
install the latest autotools.  Furthermore, CVS is to be expected to be 
unstable (that's why it is not a release), so if is ok if it has problems in 
some settings. I'm happy if they get reported, but I don't think we have to 
ensure that it is always trivial to make CVS run.

Most of the current problems steam from the fact that the new gnunet-setup 
tool still needs some integration work and that libtool 1.5 causes some 
problems. But since libtool 1.5 helps Nils to make things work under Win32 
(and shows us problems that we'd have to face at some point anyway), that's a 
good enough reason for me to bite that bullet.  Not to mention that the 
latest stable libtool seems to have vanished in the big gnu-ftp server 
break-in purge (at least last time I checked it was still 'missing').
