I've completely surrendered, we are even using the git vcs
for the gnuit source repo :)

Thanks, but as James said it is already fixed (slightly differently)
in the source repository.

Yes, I think I'll make a release in the next couple of weeks.

I was hoping to finish the unicode/wide char support (about 3/4s done)
before the next release, but I've put that on hold to catch up on some
other projects, so that will have to wait a release.
