It worked that way for me. It booted the installed OS and not the installer.

In the meantime the wiki page for the Yeeloong [1] has been updated (thanks Christophe) with the instructions on how to work around this problem. See the note in point 6 of the installation section.

The trick is to NOT use initrd (as that will start the installer) and set the right root device.
