MySQL itself is free but non-free modules/plugins exists (I do not have an example).Do you think a page about MySQL on the wiki would help as a reference about the issue that non-free modules and plugins exist for the free software MySQL?
Lots of software can have plugins, free and non-free. So if you're going to do this, it's better to have a generic explanation. The same page could explain the more specific issue with Firefox, which can not only have such plugins, but also points the user to them, even though some of them are non-free. It would also be a good page to link to from the FAQ, because there is still much confusion about the Firefox issue.
