Hi!,

I set up gNewSense, without GI, just terminal.
First i just removed GNOME and later a bunch of graphical stuff.

To turn off the screen (with the lid open) i usually used:

xset dpms force off

but this time after it ran out of battery (is a laptop), when i wanted to turn of, it couldn't find the screen,

xset:  unable to open display ""

and

~$ echo $display

can't get it too?

Could it be a package that i removed, or some kind of misconfiguration.
Thanks in advance.

PS.
xserver-xorg & xserver-xorg-core & x11-xserver-utils & libxcb-dpms0
are currently installed (related to X)
