I did actually get an email from him.  I haven't had much time to look
into things myself.  Only knowing lilypond[1] rather than something like
C doesn't help either.  I imagine as I get time to look I'll do better.
 I'm planning to look into backporting upstream versions when I next
have time, hopefully later today.
