Similar concerns were voiced on IRC. "Friends of $foo" is often an 
effort to get money from people. I think if we handle it right we could 
avoid that association.

By the way, there was another suggestion: gNewSensers

    * As in "The Simpsons", a family around gNewSense; sounds a bit 
exclusive.
    * As in the verb "to (use) gNewSense", they who gNewSense.
