ok, it's working.  I typed the command in the terminal window, and entered my password, and my computer was altered with the download, or whatever happened...   So now i have 2 players that seem to work.  gzine and kaffeine.  thanks all for the help.

You forgot the leading / in "/usr/share/doc/...". That's important. Make
sure to copy/paste the entire command -- you can paste in terminal with
a right click>paste, or with control-shift-V.
