I assume that the "radeon" / "radeonhd" drivers are in Ubuntu Hardy or
gNewSense. I just simply haven't looked. I also don't know how stable
they are. Remember 8.04 is 6 months old. A lot happens in 6 months.

Try "driconf" package in universe.  I have not tried using my 9500 AGP
with my current box; I've stuck with my TNT2 running "nv"...mainly due
to laziness. :)


I have some links that could tell you how to get the latest xorg
drivers and build your own to test with. However I'm not sure where
they are at this moment in time.
(Ask me off list for them please.)
