Maybe I'm in over my head here, but from that bug report I'm not sure
how I can help.

Here's what I found, the source code of linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24 is here:

http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/l/linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24/linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24_2.6.24-16.23.tar.gz
and
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/l/linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24/linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24_2.6.24-16.23.dsc
(informations on this package at http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24-16-386)

After having downloaded the two files, go to the directory in which they are and do a:
dpkg-source -x linux-ubuntu-modules-2.6.24_2.6.24-16.23.dsc

I will check files from "/lib/firmware/2.6.24-16-386/ipw2100-1.3-i.fw" to "/lib/firmware/2.6.24-16-386/isl3890usb". I'd like to add a
page that will summarize the freedom status of each file on the wiki, but I need to know which section (Main, Universe, Kernel) that
 package does belong to.

 Christophe
