Yep, that's the answer.  I once got an earlier version of Gnash to compile but 
then had to uninstall it sharpish after it just kept on locking up the 
desktop.

ytplay was just a bit of playing around to see what was possible.  I use it 
myself as I find having to go to different websites a bit of a faff etc.
