Cheers for the update.

Removing the packages THEN closing the bug sounds like a favourable
solution.  Obviously, we'd have to check any dependency problems,
also.

Thanks for letting the list know your situation.

BTW, my email wasn't aimed at you specifically, but thanks for giving
a real life example to the list.
