Yes easily. Dan Kegel has a website and tools, plus
there is lots of stuff on the web about GCC x86
Xcompiling for PPC. This is common practice in the
"embedded world". 

As a matter of fact, you can build x86 cross for all
the major architectures(MIPs, ARM, PPC), plus even for
free ones like Openrisc(www.opencores.org). :)
