us.archive.gnewsense.org has address 199.232.41.84

Do you see the problem, and why a DNS solution was suggested?
Alternatively, as a test, try substituting the IP address 199.232.41.84 in
your /etc/apt/sources.list for "in.archive.gnewsense.org" and see if that
works.
