Been playing around with both friendica and diaspora myself

joindiaspora.com/u/benced

and

https://friendika.openmindspace.org/profile/benx

While there isn't a way to feed an rss feed into your diaspora profile, I know on friendica you can subscribe to webpages as if they are just another user profile and it will take status updates from the RSS feed in the head tag of the HTML,

Contacts -> Add New Contact

Enter the address for the blog you wish to follow.

Hit Connect

Friendika seems to connect to Diaspora okay, using address@hidden in the same box on the Contacts page

Havn't had any luck linking with Status.net other than pulling it's RSS feed.

Apparently you can post to status.net from friendica though according to friendica.com/features

Hi there,

I'm staying with r7 at the moment here - http://elsmussols.org - which
is great - kind of an ongoing hacktionlab, field, solar 24v set up with
no tat down envisaged.

He's using friendika and getting on well with it. So I'm going to give
it a go. I reckon some of you people should as well as then we could
share thoughts on what bits we like and find useful and things that just
don't really work (useful for the 'tech tools for activism' next edition)

this is an open to sign up service..

I'm also trying out diaspora here https://nesc.io/people/583

In theory sharing and friend requests etc work between the two systems
and different pods- and I've had luck in doing this although some things
are easier to do than others.

One think that I'm finding it difficult to do is to send people private
messages between diaspora pods. anyone had any luck with that?

Also - because I'm lazy - what I really want to do is push my status.net
and wordpress stuff to friendika / diaspora - I don't even know if
that's possible. i'm here on that http://indy.im/m3shrom

nice one
