Thats sounds like a great idea.
I'd like to help, in some way. I've run events before and
currently have a group of Ubuntu Gurus that run installfests
and provide Ubuntu centric guidance at events.

Also, myself, Jon Spriggs and Michael Dorrington organise
an event called Ucubed, an Ubuntu / Debian event in
Manchester. The next one is scheduled for the 2nd of April
2011. Maybe you could run a similar workshop then aswell?
