I believe this is more appropriately described as 

ontestow-ja-y-ref VS ra-jafala

The `aw japhala' problem I think is that Windows Uniscribe uses a different 
combination than what has subsequently been formalized (by the Unicode 
consortium ?). But I don't know what that is.
