Hello Fontutils maintainers,

We are planning to migrate all templated pages on gnu.org to HTML5 in
order to improve accessibility. But before doing this, deprecated tags
such as <tt>, <acronym> and <big> need to be removed.

The home page of Fontutils contains <tt>. I got rid of it, and took this
opportunity to fix minor things:

* Introduction: there was none. I added this:
"Fontutils is a set of utilities to create and manipulate bitmap
  fonts."
* Download: reword to avoid using long URLs as text links.
* Documentation: link to the table of contents of the manual; use <kbd>
for keyboard commands (instead of <tt>) and <code> for files.
* Mailing lists: simplify; replace <tt> with quotes.
* Get involved: remove commented-out parts and subsection headings (too
much for such a short section).
* Boilerplate edits: http > https, etc.

A diff is attached. If you agree with the changes but don't have time
to commit them right now, I will gladly do it.

Best regards,
Thérèse
