Giovanni,
I just realised I only replied to you personally, so here is the information posted to the list, as I still cannot get this to work.
Windows XPpro SP2
Emacs 22.0.92.
Org-mode 4.60
.emac org/remember set up
;;;;;;;;;Org setup;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
(add-to-list 'load-path "C:\\Program Files\\EmacAddIns\\org-4.60")
(require 'org)
(add-to-list 'auto-mode-alist '("\\.org$" . org-mode))
(define-key global-map "\C-cl" 'org-store-link)
(define-key global-map "\C-ca" 'org-agenda)
(setq org-log-done t)
(setq org-hide-leading-stars t);; hides leading stars in org mode
;;Diary integration
(setq org-agenda-include-diary t)
;;Fast tag selection
(setq org-tag-alist '(("@UNIVERSITY" . ?u)("@OFFICE" . ?o)("@HOME" . ?h)("@COMPUTER" . ?c)("@PHONE" . ?p)("@SHOPS" . ?s)))
;;;;;;;;;;Remember set up;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
(add-to-list 'load-path "C:\\Program Files\\EmacAddIns\\remember")
(require 'remember)
; (setq remember-handler-functions '(remember-planner-append))
;(setq remember-annotation-functions planner-annotation-functions)
;;Remember integration with Org.mode;;;;;;;
(setq org-directory "C:\\home\\org")
(setq org-default-notes-file "C:\\home\\.notes")
(setq remember-annotation-functions '(org-remember-annotation))
(setq remember-handler-functions '(org-remember-handler))
(add-hook 'remember-mode-hook 'org-remember-apply-template)
;;remember org templates
(setq org-remember-templates '((?t "* TODO %?\n %i\n %a"
"C:\\home\\org\\tasks.org")(?j "* %U %?\n\n %i\n %a"
"C:\\home\\org\\journal.org")))

Graham,
could you please specify:
1. Operating System
2. Version information of Emacs (C-h v emacs-version <RET>)
3. '' of Org-mode (C-h v org-version <RET>)
4. as well as the Org-mode/remember related setup in .emacs
I had a similar problem... that I solved commenting some
lines with old 'remeber' commands left when I installed
org-mode v. 4.36 :-/
Cheers,
Giovanni
