Details:
When duplicity errors out due to network errors or other causes, it would be
desirable to allow a restart from a checkpoint. This could be extended to a
shutdown interrupt where the user may need to shut the system down during the
middle of a backup.
My proposal is to use full volumes and limit the checkpoint such that we do
not need to deal with incomplete files. In other words, if a checkpoint is
requested after 5 volumes (default), then allow duplicity to complete the
current file, even if it means additional volumes.
