Details:

The webdav backend does not handle digest authentication. I've created a
quick patch to add digest authentication with help of urllib2. That might
raise some issues with Python < 2.4.1(?), I up to that version the
DigestAuthHandler was broken with request methods other than 'GET' and 'POST'.
It's not fully tested, but seems to work quite well in my current setup
(Backup up a few servers on BingoDisk webdav space.
