No idea about the problem with the upgrade.

For point 2, you say "I cannot see or modify purchase prices in customer invoices any longer". Do you mean 

"I cannot see or modify selling prices in customer invoices any longer" ?

...and I faced a very strange issue during update:
Recently I have installed a "Let's encrypt" certificate for my installation. For normal work everything is fine when called with https.
But the installer reported "update from 5.0.0 to 5.0.0"?!
I was only able to do the correct upgrade to 5.0.1 by calling /install without SSL. Why?
