Hello,
When running make check on a feshly compiled textutils-2.1
I'm getting mesage such as the following:
Making check in tr
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/copdev/src/textutils-2.1/tests/tr'
/usr/local/bin/make check-TESTS
make[3]: Entering directory `/home/copdev/src/textutils-2.1/tests/tr'
/bin/bash: ./tr-tests: Permission denied
FAIL: tr-tests
======================================
1 of 1 tests failed

So far I've had similar message for:
tests/fmt/basic
head/head-tests
join/join-test
md5sum/basic-1
md5sum/newline-1
misc/split-a
misc/head-pos
misc/sort
misc/head-c
misc/csplit
od/od-N
pr/pr-tests
sort/sort-tests
sum/basic-1
sum/sysv
tac/tac-tests
tail-2/proc-ksyms
tail-2/start-middle
tail-2/assert
tail-2/assert-2
tr/tr-tests
Giving them execute permissions solves the problem. There may be
more, but I've given up at this point.
A uname -a gives:
SunOS irwell 5.8 Generic_108528-15 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-Enterprise
gcc --version gives:
2.95.3
Regards,
Ashley.
