sort ordering question |

I have notice ordering differences from different versions of sort.
Example from file called junk
AB
ab
A
a
Under RED HAT 6.0 sort 1.x the output order would be
A
AB
a
ab
Under RED HAT 7.0 sort 2.0e the output order would be
a
A
ab
AB
Under RED HAT 7.1 sort 2.0.11 same as RED HAT 7.0
I would like to use the old ordering scheme if possible. I have tried various
switches and options, but
have not been successful. Do I need to downgrade to my old sort? Our SGI's
running 6.5.x return the
sorting order the same as 1.x.
What gives?
