Version: sort (GNU Textutils) 1.22 in NT4

Where am I going wrong?  Should I have a tmp folder somewhere? I have
already tried c:\tmp c:\lawson\tmp o:\Departments\Lawson\tmp

When I run this command
O:\Departments\Lawson>sort -t, -k4,4 -k1,1 -o c:\lawson\test.asc
c:\lawson\h_010108_1.asc c:\lawson\l_010108_1.asc

I get this result
sort: /tmp/sort0034900000: No such file or directory
