Hello,
I was unable to locate an installation of ssw via homebrew or apt.
As such, I've downloaded ssw 0.3 tar from http://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/ssw/
and performed the normal installation method
cd to directory
/.configure
make
sudo make install
all looks normal, however in the documentation it mentions: "By default,
`make install' installs the package's commands under `/usr/local/bin',
include files under `/usr/local/include', etc." I've found that they're
instead installed under '/usr/local/include' and '/usr/local/lib/'.
I'm not sure if this is an issue, but it seems that although i can see
the produced files, it's not recognised as being installed. i'm trying
to install it as a dependency for pspp, and it's incurring this problem:
configure: error: The following required prerequisites are not installed.
You must install them before PSPP can be built:
spread-sheet-widget 0.3 (or use --without-gui)
